Day two: the music house
Came across this place:

It is the Århus Musikhus - Århus Concert Hall I guess - from a low angle.
Actually, its an old photo. At the moment the place loooks more or less like this: musikhus from above

Day one: Bench and grass composition
On the way home I go through the nearby university campus. It is all grass and yellow brick buildings and a nice place. Today I came across a few things there (just up the hill from the lake):
1: a grass and blue band composition.
2: an asphalt composition
3: a grass and bench composition

I really like abstract art. That is probably why my photos always end up being people-devoid, right-angled, contrasty images. The way that some artists can make a painting be both abstract and recognisable at the same time really impresses me - when at best, such a picture just sits there shifting between the two states.
For instance, take a look at Matisse's Harmony in Red or Miro's Hand Catching a Bird. At first Matisse's painting doesn't seem abstract, but after a while the surfaces and patterns begin to take over.

Going, but not seeing
For the last five or six years I've been going the same way to and from work. Mornings I take the bus, because its faster and I am really not much of a mornin+g-person. When I go home, I always walk. Its a tour of some thirty or forty minutes depending on weather and mood. Most days I can't even remember that I walked home, least remember if anything happened.
Well, that is about to change: on this blog I'll post all the interesting things I am going to see and explore on my way home from work. I'll take the same tour as always, but from now on with my eyes open.
